उर्दू अनुवादकों की भर्ती का अभियान

 लखनऊ : चुनाव को लेकर तेज हुई सियासी सरगर्मी के बीच सपा सरकार ने उर्दू अनुवादकों की भर्ती का अभियान चलाकर मुसलमानों को रिझाने की कवायद तेज कर दी है। दरअसल, सरकार चाहती है कि लोकसभा चुनाव से पहले सभी महकमों में उर्दू अनुवादकों के खाली पदों को चिह्न्ति कर भर्ती प्रक्रिया शुरू कर दी जाए। मुख्यमंत्री अखिलेश यादव के निर्देश पर नियुक्ति एवं कार्मिक विभाग के प्रमुख सचिव राजीव कुमार ने शासन, मंडल और जिला स्तर से लेकर ब्लॉक तक के पदों को भरने के साथ-साथ उर्दू अनुवादकों के सेवा संबंधित तमाम विसंगतियों को दूर करने के निर्देश दिए हैं।1शिक्षणोत्तर कर्मचारियों ने घेरा विधानभवन1लखनऊ : वेतन विसंगति सहित कई मांगों के पूरा होने पर माध्यमिक शिक्षणोत्तर कर्मचारियों ने मंगलवार को विरोध जताया। ओसीआर से जुलूस के रूप में चले शिक्षकों को रोकने का प्रयास किया गया, लेकिन वे नहीं माने। विधानभवन के सामने पहुंचे शिक्षणोत्तर कर्मचारियों ने सरकार पर उत्पीड़न का आरोप लगाते हुए मांगों पर शीघ्र निर्णय लेने की मांग की। जिला प्रशासन के माध्यम से मुख्यमंत्री को ज्ञापन भी प्रेषित किया गया।

राजीव दीक्षित1लखनऊ : अशासकीय सहायताप्राप्त (अनुदानित) कॉलेजों में अध्यापकों की कमी को दूर करने और उनमें मानदेय पर तैनात प्रवक्ताओं की मुकदमेबाजी से निजात पाने के लिए उच्च शिक्षा विभाग ने नई तरकीब ढूंढी है। अनुदानित कॉलेजों में अध्यापकों की कमी दूर करने के लिए विभाग अब राजकीय और अनुदानित महाविद्यालयों के सेवानिवृत्त शिक्षकों को मानदेय पर तैनात करेगा। शर्त यह है कि मानदेय पर रखे जाने वाले सेवानिवृत्त शिक्षकों की उम्र 65 वर्ष से अधिक न हो। प्रस्ताव को जल्द ही कैबिनेट से मंजूर कराने की तैयारी है। 1अनुदानित कॉलेजों में शिक्षकों के 11272 सृजित पदों में से 3514 खाली हैं। इन कॉलेजों के शिक्षकों का चयन उच्चतर शिक्षा सेवा आयोग करता है। शिक्षकों की कमी को दूर करने के लिए सात अप्रैल 1998 को जारी शासनादेश के तहत अनुदानित कॉलेजों में रिक्त पदों पर मानदेय प्रवक्ताओं की नियुक्ति की गई। यह भी व्यवस्था थी कि आयोग से नियमित शिक्षकों का चयन होते ही मानदेय प्रवक्ताओं को हटाकर इन पदों पर चयनित अभ्यर्थियों की नियुक्ति होगी। हुआ इसके उलट। कुछ वर्षो तक पढ़ाने के बाद मानदेय शिक्षक जहां खुद को नियमित शिक्षक बनाने के लिए मुकदमेबाजी करने लगे। नियमित शिक्षकों के चयन में इसलिए भी रुकावट आ रही है कि क्योंकि अभी उच्चतर शिक्षा सेवा आयोग विधिवत गठित नहीं है। लिहाजा उच्च शिक्षा विभाग ने मानदेय प्रवक्ताओं की व्यवस्था को समाप्त कर उनके स्थान पर सेवानिवृत्त शिक्षकों को तैनाती देने का प्रस्ताव तैयार किया है। इन सेवानिवृत्त शिक्षकों को रिटायरमेंट के समय उनके वेतन स्तर के हिसाब से मानदेय मिलेगा जबकि उनकी पेंशन यथावत रहेगी। रिटायर्ड शिक्षक नियमित करने के लिए दबाव भी नहीं बनायेंगे। तैनात किये जाने वाले शिक्षकों का चयन जिले के राजकीय स्नातकोत्तर महाविद्यालय के प्राचार्य की अध्यक्षता में गठित कमेटी करेगी जिसके सदस्य संयोजक क्षेत्रीय उच्च शिक्षा अधिकारी होंगे। 1सेवानिवृत्ति के समय सहायक प्रोफेसर का वेतन पाने वाले शिक्षकों को 400 रुपये प्रति लेक्चर और अधिकतम 20000 रुपये मिलेंगे। वहीं एसोसिएट प्रोफेसर का वेतनमान पाने वाले को 500 रुपये प्रति लेक्चर और अधिकतम 22000 रुपये और प्रोफेसर के वेतनमान पर 600 रुपये प्रति लेक्चर व अधिकतम 25000 रुपये मानदेय मिलेगा।

उच्च प्राथमिक टीईटी प्रमाणपत्र का वितरण 11 नवंबर से

इलाहाबाद: उत्तर प्रदेश शिक्षक पात्रता परीक्षा (यूपी टीईटी-2013) के उच्च प्राथमिक स्तर के प्रमाणपत्रों का वितरण डायट में 11 नवंबर से होगा। जिले में 11 हजार उच्च प्राथमिक और उच्च प्राथमिक भाषा स्तर के परीक्षार्थियों को प्रमाणपत्र बांटने के लिए एक दिन में एक हजार का लक्ष्य रखा गया है। 11 से लेकर 18 नवंबर तक उच्च प्राथमिक स्तर और 19 से 25 नवंबर तक उच्च प्राथमिक स्तर भाषा के परीक्षार्थियों को प्रमाणपत्र बांटा जाएगा।

Counslingफर्रुखाबाद: शासन द्वारा जारी निर्देश के क्रम में आज दि0 29-10-2013 को सहायक अध्‍यापक (उर्दू) के लिए काउन्‍सलिंग प्रक्रिया जनपद में सम्‍पादित की गई। काउन्‍सलिंग में 02 गुना 66 अभ्‍यर्थियों को उपस्थिति होने के निर्देश जारी किये गये थे। कॉउंसलिंग में अब तक केवल 8 अभ्यर्थी उपस्थित हुए|

Astronomers Discovered Seven Planet System
Astronomers, in the month of October 2013 , revealed that they identified one of the richest planetary systems.
The astronomers discovered the seventh planet around the dwarf star KIC 11442793. 
The discovery was done by two different teams of researchers from the University of Oxford and team of astronomers from several European countries.
The newly discovered planetary system has a lot of similarities like our own system. 
However, all the seven planets orbit closer to the host star which is situated around 2500 light years from the Earth.Chris Lintott, from the University of Oxford, co-author on the Planet Hunters paper explained that this was the first seven-planet system from Kepler, by making use of the transiting search.
The research done by the team of Chris Lintott was submitted to the Astronomical Journal for peer review. Another research conducted by the astronomers from several European countries submitted their paper to the Astrophysical Journal.
Apart from this, there is another star, HD 10180, which is claimed to have either seven or even nine planetary signals. Yet another sun called GJ 887C might have seven planets.
5th South Asian Conference on Sanitation begins in Nepal 

Aiming to promote hygienic practices and enhance the quality of life in South Asian countries, a regional conference on sanitation has been inaugurated by Nepalese President Ram Baran Yadav.

Around 300 delegates, including former external affairs minister Madhav Singh Solanki, are among the dignitaries attending the 5th South Asian Conference on Sanitation.

Constitution of Nepal has guaranteed for right to live in safer environment to its citizens and sanitation journey in Nepal is one of the step ensuring rights given by constitution," said President Yadav, who inaugurated the three-day regional conference on Monday.

Nepal has already surpassed its Millennium Development Goal (MDG) in sanitation with 62 per cent sanitation coverage. We are on our way to attain the universal sanitation standard by 2017," he said.

Besides eight South-Asian countries, representatives from the World Health Organization, World Bank and UNICEF are also among the particpants.

The conference will conclude with the announcement of the Kathmandu Declaration as a way forward to better sanitation in the region.

Radio docu about Aus-Indian community issues gets UN award

A radio documentary about domestic violence and other related issues in the Australian Indian community has won a prestigious United Nations Association of Australia (UNAA) media award.

The documentary was awarded this year in the category of "increasing understanding and awareness of women’s' rights and issues".

SBS Radio Punjabi Program's The Enemy Within' explored a complex issue of domestic violence in Indian migrant communities.

Manpreet Kaur Singh and Sacha Payne displayed exemplary skill in bringing forward a full picture of the experiences of women in violent relationships," the UNA A official statement said, The award winning documentary has also been named as a finalist at Australia's most coveted award for journalism - the Walkleys.

The Walkley winners will be announced at the end of November.

Singh is a well known radio broadcaster and producer for SBS Punjabi radio channel. He joined SBS Melbourne in 1993.

Chinese Scientists Developed Bird Flu Vaccine
The scientists from China has developed vaccine for H7N9 Bird Flu Virus.
The vaccine was jointly developed by the School of Medicine of the Zhejiang University, Hong Kong University, Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, National Institute for Food and Drug Control, and the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences.
China reported the world’s first human case for H7N9 bird flu infection in March 2013. As of now, a total of 136 people were confirmed to have been infected with the virus. 
Of the infected, 45 died, representing a fatality rate of about 33 per cent.
Avian influenza A H7 viruses are a group of influenza viruses that normally circulate among birds. 
The avian influenza A (H7N9) virus is one subgroup among the larger group of H7 viruses. Although some H7 viruses (H7N2, H7N3 and H7N7) have occasionally been found to infect humans.

PM conferred Honorary Doctorate by Russian institute

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was on Monday conferred an Honorary Doctorate by the prestigious Moscow State Institute of International Relations.

Accepting the rare honour at a special ceremony, Singh said he considered it a matter of "great honour" that the Institute decided to confer the doctorate on him.

During his speech he invoked Mahatma Gandhi and Leo Tolstoy, saying that one only has to glance at the rich correspondence between the two to get a sense of how formative the thinking of Tolstoy was for Gandhi's practice of non-violence.

Founded in 1944, it is the oldest and the most renowned school in Russia for preparing specialists in international relations and diplomacy.

French Award For Anjali Gopalan
France on 25 October awarded its highest civilian award ‘Chevalier de la Legion d’Honneur’ to Anjali Gopalan for her work on transgenders and HIV positive patients.
She was awarded at a function, by Najat Vallaud-Belkacem, the French Cabinet Minister for Women’s Right.
Anjali Gopalan is an Indian Human Rights and Animals Rights Activist.She started the Naz Foundation (India) Trust as its executive director, which further changed the lives of the HIV Positive, transgenders and homosexuals .

Amitabh Bachchan gets Hridaynath Mangeshkar award

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan received the third Hridaynath Mangeshkar award for his contribution to the film industry.

The prestigious Hridaynath Mangeshkar award was supposed to be presented by melody queen Lata Mangeshkar to Bachchan, but due to health issues she could not make it and filmmaker Subhash Ghai did the honours.

The award function was followed by 'Hridayotsava 71' music concert, which was a musical tribute to Bachchan and Mangeshkar, with some of the best yesteryears hit numbers sung by Shaan, Sunidhi Chauhan, Sudesh Bhosale, Mahalaxmi, Sadhana Sargam and many others.

The Mangeshkar family has been observing Pt Hridaynath's birthday for last 24 years and the first award was bagged by Lata Mangeshkar in 2011.

Her younger Asha Bhosle was honoured with the same award last year.

Sushmita Sen receives Mother Teresa International Award

 Former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen has been awarded the Mother Teresa International Award by NGO The Harmony Foundation for her efforts towards achieving social justice

Sushmita, who is associated with charitbale projects and NGOs, received the award Sunday and took to Twitter to express her feelings.

Beautiful People!... wanted you to wake up to 'The Mother Teresa International Award', which I received last night... precious," Sushmita posted on the microblogging site early Monday morning.

The Harmony Foundation also honoured former Outlaw motorcycle club member Sam Childers for his efforts towards rescuing children from a war-zone in Sudan.

Mexican, Indian films win top awards at Mumbai Film Festival

Mexican drama 'La Jaula De Oro' (The Golden Cage) won the best film award by a debutante director on the closing day of 15th Mumbai Film Festival that also recognised Singapore's 'Ilo Ilo' and Indian films 'Fandry', 'Katiyabaaz' and 'Qissa'.

Directed by Diego Quemada-Diaz, 'The Golden Cage' was honoured with the Golden Gateway of India award and a cash prize by the jury headed by director Bruce Beresford.

Quemada-Diaz said he was happy to see a topic like illegal migration, which isa huge issue in his country, find resonance with the audience.

Marathi director Nagraj Manjule's maiden effort 'Fandry', dealing with issues of adolescence and caste prejudices, was given the jury grand prize.

Ilo Ilo', Singapore's entry this year to the best foreign film Oscar, had a double win for director Anthony Chen and actress Yeo Yann Yann who won in the best director and actress categories.

The best actor prize was given to French actor Vincent Macaigne for his role in French film

Fahad Mustafa and Deepti Kakkar's factual drama 'Katiyabaaz', about the electricity crisis in Kanpur, surprised by scooping the best film in the India Gold segment while Anup Singh's 'Qissa' was named the second best film by the jury headed by Iranian filmmaker Asghar Farhadi.

GAIL and Paradip Port signed MoU for setting up of LNG terminal

GAIL India and Paradip Port Trust on 26 October 2013 signed a Memorandum of Understanding for setting up an offshore Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) terminal at Paradip Port, Odisha.

The MoU envisages setting up of the project with a capacity of 4 Million Metric Tonnes Per Annum (MMPTA) in Phase-I with a storage capacity of 170000 cubic metres.

This will entail a total investment of 3108 crore rupees out of which Paradip Port would invest 650 crores rupees in breakwater & dredging and balance 2458 crores rupees will be invested by GAIL. The Phase-I of the project is targeted to be completed by 2017.

SC directs Sahara Group to hand over its properties

SC directs Sahara Group to hand over title deeds of its properties worth Rs 20,000 crores to SEBI within three weeks.

The apex court said that If Sahara Group doesn't hand over title deeds within three weeks then Subrata Roy and other directors can't leave the country without its permission.

SC tells Sahara, “There is no escape and the money has to be paid”.

Serena Williams beats Li Na for WTA title

Serena Williams ended her best season in suitable style, coming from behind to beat Li Na 2-6, 6-3, 6-0 on Sunday for her second straight WTA Championships title.

Williams collected her 11th title of the year and became the first player to repeat as champion at the season-ending event since Justine Henin in 2007.

The American won her fourth WTA Championship, having captured the elite tournament for the top eight players also in her debut in 2001 and in 2009 and 2012.

Williams' titles this year included the French and U.S. Opens for a total of 17 Grand Slam crowns.
Maharashtra Cabinet Decided To Implement New Mining Rules
The Maharashtra cabinet has decided to implement new mining rules on 23 October, which is aimed atensuring planned and scientific exploitation of the state’s mineral wealth.
New mining norms according to the Maharashtra Minor Minerals (Development and Regulation) Rules 2013, would ensure checks in the mining of minor minerals such as sand, stones, gravel and clay, which are used in construction and other sectors.
